Current Position
Manish Bamrotiya is the technical director for ACCELERATE at the Johns Hopkins Center for Infectious Diseases in India. He is a member of the team in Delhi, India, and has worked with the Johns Hopkins-India infectious diseases partnership for 3 years.
Manish Bamrotiya is responsible for:
- Providing strategic and technical guidance to translate project vision into activities implemented in six high-burden districts in India.
- Liaising with National, State, District, and Institution level health system officials to ensure that project activities are in accordance with the Government’s vision and priorities.
- Guiding and working with the implementation team in rolling-out new approaches for improving outcomes along the HIV continuum of care with a particular focus on the downstream steps of ART initiation and viral suppression.
Past Positions
Prior to joining CIDI, Manish Bamrotiya worked with the Government of India in the National AIDS Control Organization for approximately 10 years in various positions starting from medical officer to Regional Coordinator, program officer, and then as National Consultant for care support and treatment division.

Education
Manish Bamrotiya received M.B.B.S from B.J. Medical College, Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India, and Fellowship in HIV medicine from School of Tropical Medicine in Kolkata, Ahmedabad.
